College + Winter Holiday + Money

I haven't updated here in awhile!

Nnn. College stuff is so gross right now. I have an essay due Friday that I'm still working on. It's supposed to be 3-5 pages and so far I only have one. I also have a project due next Friday that sounds pretty easy. I just don't want to do it. Is that bad...?

On the plus side, I got a 90% on my Women's Studies midterm~ At least I guess that's a plus, since the class average was 84%. I thought I did better actually... but I only missed 5 so that should be okay! I also took a Japanese placement test yesterday that I felt pretty good about. Since today was a holiday, I have to wait until tomorrow to get my scores for registration on the 20th.

A part of me wishes I did badly so I can take Japanese next quarter, but if not I can just take third quarter in the spring. There's also a Women's Studies class focusing on Queer Theory that I want to take in the spring, and maybe I can throw in a writing class and get those requirements out of the way. I know I want to take Astronomy next quarter as part of my Quantitative & Reasoning requirements (in place of Math at UW) and then I still have to finish 4 Natural World classes. After that, the other requirements relate to my intended major (Japanese) and minors (Japan Studies, Women's Studies).

I really want to talk to an advisor who knows what they're talking about. last time I went in i saw this lady who, honestly, I felt like I was smarter than. I had already looked up the major and minor requirements. What I wanted was someone to help me see how I can work those into my 4 year schedule... not someone to just tell me what the requirements are. I can just google that. Ugh. Hopefully I'll get someone different next time. They still have drop-in advising at the EOP office until the 20th...

WELL college stuff aside, I have other awesome news. I GET TO SO SEE EMU THIS WINTER~ I think that's why I can't concentrate right now. I'm so excited! Mom already bought my ticket so all I have to do is pay her back. So far I've been selling all my stuff to make the cash ($300) but I think after winter quarter starts, I might consider getting a job. That would be a lot faster than waiting for ebay auctions to end...

It doesn't help that I still have to spend money. Went out to the mall today because my only pair of tights ripped and my only pair of white knee-highs tore on the elastic and won't stay up anymore. I bought a pair of black tights because Target had no white. I bought some cute wintery knee-highs that are a little tight but are okay. But the black ones I bought... ugh. They had absolutely no stretch at all. I could barely pull them up around my ankle! They were only $7 but every dollar matters right now! Hopefully I can take them back. If not, I'll try and sell them online too, or maybe convert them into arm-sleeves instead...

But money woes aside, I'm still really excited! I leave on the 14th a few hours after my final exam for Women's Studies, and I'll be gone for 10 days, coming back on Christmas Eve. I know that's cutting it a little close with Christmas, but I don't caaare~

Uhm! Not much else to say. I haven't been able to draw as much lately so my comic has been horribly neglected. I drew one picture and put it on dA but I think all my inactivity has scared off what few watchers I had. Oh well~

And this is random but lol Emu why aren't you online? I wanna get back to the rp and get to AWESOME PLOT already! It's killing me, how long I've been waiting to start that now...

OH MY GOD THAT IS EXCITING you get to visit an Emu.

I just went to Green River so I could take classes there hnnn. Only I'm not sure where I'll go after that. I guess I'll be forced to take English 101 and a ghey math class. I know I'll try taking Japanese and Spanish later on, but I just want to take every class ever. %D

LOL I KNOW RIGHT?

Well, you could take a bunch of general graduation requirements and one fun class each quarter? Get all the boring stuff out of the way while you're still fresh from high school.
