Nihonjin + Kent Station Adventure
Okay, today was one day where I was pretty worried about how things would go, and then they ended up going well~! Instead of getting home at 5 pm like usual, today Rie got off school at 1 pm, so we had a free afternoon. Deciding not to let it go to waste, me and Holly made plans to go to Kent Station by bus and hang out there for the day! Of course, everyone loves Kent Station! Our group was made up of me, Holly, Rie, Nao, Savannah, Alyssa, and Danny. All on the bus. All in a group. Crazy stuff!
When we got to Kent Station, we just wandered in and out of various stores. First was Pac-Sun, where we dressed Savannah up like a gangsta. She looked like someone out of Wayne's World! It was hilarious! But somehow, she really pulled it off! After that was Hot Topic... I'm not sure how Rie and Nao enjoyed it, though... then we went into Claire's, which they really seemed to enjoy! And then Bath and Body Works, where they actually started to buy stuff... nice lotions and whatnot! Then it was time for... ice cream~! Oishii desu!
When we were getting ready to leave, we started for the buses... and watched our bus drive away. The bus into Timberlane come sonce every hour. We did not want to wait an hour. So, when my mom called and offered a ride, naturally it was accepted! However, stuffing her, Danny, me, Holly, Nao, and Rie into a regular sized car was not fun. It was so packed! Ah! But we made it home alive, right?
When we got home, we ate dinner, and then just sat around for awhile. I helped Rie with her laundry, and then we sat in my room and talked for awhile. It was actually really nice! We talked a lot about Japanese and Kanji. And about school. And about Disneyland. And a little about manga. And we had fun petting the cat... animals really help in bringing people together, you know?
Anyway, tomorrow we wake up super early for the Renton River Days parade~! Then we'll go to the mall, and finally have dinner with my grandparents and uncle Tom. More on that tomorrow!
